Kindle 2, Nook > iPad…
My Opinion, but iPad can nowhere near beat these two.
To say that the responsiveness is “much” slower on the nook is laughable. It is fractions of a second slower on page turns(much improved from the 2x turn speed at release). And I completely stopped watching when you said the devices need to interface with the book store makes the device. YOU ARE WRONG. That makes the Kindle, it does not at all make the Nook. You can download books from well over 50 sources and sideload them(load from pc to Nook), the kindle has 2 formats
@likethepear the ipad wasn’t even out when this video was made.
I look forward to an update to this when they can talk about the iPad. I love mine, BUT it’s still on the heavy side for reading in bed, my favorite place to read. It’s hard to read with, without a case, and just heavy when trying to read a novel. Not really sure what can be done about that, but this was one of the main things I was excited about. I can imagine Apple producing a smaller, lighter version to address this issue in the next 12-18 months.
Pretty close to twice as heavy?? It’s 2 ounces. Geez. Responsiveness is “much” slower? Are you kidding me? This guy needs to update his own brain and stop trying to do comparison reviews. Actually, he needs a new job.
When Kindle 3 coming out?
Should we wait to buy Kindle 3?
Also I heard that Kindle used Whispernet through the Sprint Network now AT&T? Why is that for Kindle 2?
Thanks
Maybe you should mention the update for the nook. It comes with a web browser and faster page turning
Is the review that includes the IPad available yet? This really doesn’t do what the title states.
Is there going to be a kindle 3 coming out soon?
get a damn tripod
It was informative ,but I am still confused as to which one I like better. I do haave several questions.
1. can you download history books or is it just for novels?
2. Is it true that on the nook that you can download games and music for free?
fyi barnes and noble also has an application on the ipad, just like kobo, and amazon… very informative otherwise…thanks
The version of the nook software he reviewed had the problems he described. The newer version of the nook software is MUCH better. Couldn’t stand it before I upgraded the software and love it now that I have.
@Gegatso LOL! I agree! This guy is a big douche bag
For the iPad you should have used a MaxiPad because they’re pretty much the same
Is the resolution difference an issue?
i like seeing book covers so that makes the nook better for me, and im really not impatient about fastness, i think its strange when people get upset because something takes a couple seconds longer than it should have, I mean what could you really do in 5 or 10 seconds?
it probably depends on what you are looking for in an e-reader…
should have been titled nook vs kindle as ipad wasnt reviewed, waste of time watching tbh
I wish people would be more coherent when they do videos like this. Too many uhhhs and uhmms before getting to the point.
Ipad? The Ipad uses an LED light, it’s not an ereader. It shouldn’t even be in this comparison. Go and read a novel on an Ipad and tell me how it works out. It will strain your eyes.
just wanted to point your sound on your camera is bad. lots of echo. hard to hear
ipad sucks!
next apple product: the iTampon. no joke. xD
Kim Harrison XD
great comparison, but why do I keep expecting him to start talking about a basket ball game?
